Icons de Chanel --The Suit
Here is Mademoiselle Chanel wearing one of the suits she made famous, in this photograph from 1931. Chanel used materials, such as jersey, that were used for men's underwear at the time, in making classic, comfortable clothes for fashionable women. She once said that: "In order to be irreplaceable one must always be different."

Bow Bag
If you want something unique and interesting, then this is the bag for you! Part of the Spring 2008 collection, the "Bow Bag" would definitely turn heads. I just don't know if the construction would be comfortable enough to use as an everyday bag. But then again, who would use this as their everyday bag?! I bet Arjay would...

Trunk Show
I went to my first CHANEL trunk show at Saks today and found this interesting bowler.
I adore the look of the rhodoid chains but I really worry about the issues that caused the recall. It seems that with this design though, leather strips were woven between the links and I could see how this would reinforce the straps. All in all I love this bag. Great design! Sex in the City's Kim Catrall
This one's for Arjay since he's really looking forward to this movie. I believe Kim is sporting a tote from the Outdoor Ligne. If I'm not mistaken, this exact same bag went on sale in early December. I love the design and with those big CC's, I don't think there will be any doubt from people where you got your bag.

Diamond Forever
Tooted as the most expensive bag ever made, the Limited Edition Diamond Forever CHANEL
is something to consider for the lucky 13 people who will be fortunate enough to own it. Embellised with 334 diamonds weighing a total of 3.56 carats set in white gold with alligator skin as its backdrop, this classic flap does not really scream it's price tag of $261,000. I wonder what Mademoiselle Chanel would think about this...

My Favorite CHANEL Celebrity
Mademoiselle Chanel knew of the power of celebrities. She would dress famous actresses with her new fashions so as to be walking advertisements. Since then, countless actresses have been fortunate enough to be the face of the House of CHANEL. If there is one modern celebrity though that I would chose to be my favorite, it would be CHANEL's latest installment, Emma Watson from the Harry Potter movies. Her sense of style is a quiet one but something about the way she carries herself has won me over. At only 17 years old, she reportedly garnered a $4 million contract and will have complete access to the collections. She is sooo lucky. Here's a pic of her beneath a fantastic chandelier in Coco Chanel's very own apartment.
